Climbing with Aubrey at Rumney Rocks

Aubrey and I enjoyed a beautiful December at Rumney Rocks New Hampshire. We started our day at the sheltered and sunny Main Cliff area. We had the place to ourselves and the rock was warm and dry. After warming up on a few of the Main Cliff classics Gold Digger 5.8+ and Underdog 5.10a we headed over to Armed and Dangerous area.
Here is Aubrey climbing with ease on Metamorphasis 5.9. This along with Armed,Dangerous, and Off My Medication 5.10b. These are two steep Rumney routes, one with a troublesome overlap along with an exciting pumpy finish on jugs. Both routes gave a good pump to the fore arms.
Down at the Five Eight Crag we climbed the Snake Skin Slab 5.8. This route has a tricky start with some enjoyable technical movements above.
We completed our circuit with two routes at the Meadows area. False Modesty 5.7 has another tricky start followed by a steep slab to a crux mantle at the top. Then it was good intricate face climbing on the Easy Terms 5.8.
Aubrey and I had a great day climbing rock in December. Our day totaled 8 routes about 650 feet of technical climbing. Nice way to maybe end the season!!!
