Climbing Repentance

February 20, 2010 § Leave a comment

Torin and I had a great climb of Repentance today. We had climbed the route together last year in much leaner conditions but today the route was quite fat and hooked out as some say. In the current conditions it is still a very challenging climb. Steep ice, technical movements, a variety of rock moves to work around all made for an exciting day with Mooney Mountain Guides.

Torin elbow scumming through the tight chimney just below the second belay.
The Nomic taking me to the top.
Torin arriving at the chockstone at the top of Repentence. We enjoyed a great climb on Cathedral Ledge. When we completed the route party number three started up. Each day this route is seeing many ascents.
