Jerry and Steve

I had a great time climbing with Jerry and Steve this past weekend. We headed over to Frankenstein in Crawford Notch on Saturday. For such a nice day it was not as crowded as I had expected. We warmed up climbing into the cave on Standard Route, then headed over to Standard Left. Standard Left provides for some great climbing and some very exposed positions; a very fun line. We finished our day climbing the first pitch of Hobbit Couloir. This pitch was steeper than I have seen it in past years.

On Sunday we ventured over to Rumney to see what was left. We found that Selsen Blue and the Cave Route were in great climbing shape, though protecting these climbs on lead was very unnerving. We played on these two steep lines and did a little mixed climbing up Dirtigo.

Jerry taking one of the last ascents the Cave Route may see if we don’t get some moisture.
Cheers,
