Scout Troop 75 Ice Climbing at Kinsman Notch

March 7, 2010 § Leave a comment

You couldn’t wish for a more perfect day!! Early March, the sun is shining and enough ice to challenge ourselves! Troop 75 decided to go high adventure and try a little ice climbing. For first time ice climbers it was a blast! When asked if they had a good day one boy scout responded, “That would be an understatement!” The best thing about the day was the fact that novice climbers, guided by Art Mooney, were able to feel the thrill of achievement as they scaled vertical walls of sheer ice.

With Art as the guide, fun is easily incorporated into the day!

Tom is all smiles while on his way back down from another great ascent!
Thanks Art for the great adventure and fun. We hope to see you again next year!
