2 Bluebird Days in Crawford Notch

March 9, 2010 § Leave a comment

Rob came into town looking to get some technical ice climbing under his belt. We were greeted by 2 bluebird days in Crawford Notch. We went to Willey’s Slide for our first route of the day, and found it to be in very snowy conditions. After quickly dispensing the slide, we ran down and drove over to Frankenstein Cliffs and climbed all of the variations into the Cave on Standard Route. Sunday greeted us even nicer than Saturday. We decided to climb up a New England Classic, climbing an, again, snowy Cinema Gully. We then traversed the tree ledge and finished our day on Upper Hitchcock Gully. Alpine conditions are great right now folks, get out there for the goods before we are all rock climbing again.
