Holly & Steve taking it to new heights!!!

Today we climbed Sliding Board on Whitehorse. Holly and Steve started climbing a few months ago and wanted to see what the big stone was like. I felt Sliding Board would be a good choice as the route offers good climbing and its a long multi pitch route. The Whitehorse Routes are certainly challenging on the mind, the run outs are exciting and can be frightening for someone to watch. A leader should be confident in face and friction climbing and have movement skills well above the numbered grade of the route. We did climb Sliding Board and then we went to Cathedral for a few pitches. Pitch 1 of Recompense is one of the best single pitch 5.7’s on the cliff. To end the day we climbed a few pitches of Thin Air. We had a fun tour of the two gems for trad climbing in NH.
Thanks Holly & Steve,
