The Sunny Side of Rumney Rocks

October 11, 2010 § Leave a comment

The morning started with clear skies, a brisk breeze and cool temperatures. Annie and I were all bundled up when we approached the climbs at Rumney Rocks. We were looking for the sunny side of a climbing route so we could take off some outer layers and enjoy the climbing. The Meadows was the perfect place for this. With the leaves off the trees the sun baked the south facing walls providing us with warm rock on a couple of relaxing moderate routes. Once we warmed up, we eased into the climbing. Annie and I had a fun afternoon working a couple of routes at the Meadows and Parking Lot Wall.

Annie is was a pleasure to meet you. I look forward to seeing and climbing with you again.
