Dracula – two steep ice lines.

Aubrey joined me last week for a day on the ice. Its been a few weeks since we last climbed and he was looking to get on some steep ice routes for the day. We decided on Frankenstein Cliff as our location and the ice climb called Dracula was the obvious choice for us. Both the right and left lines were in good shape. The ice was fresh in most spots as the previous warm spell got water flowing again which renewed the routes.

Aubrey all smiles after topping out on both routes.

The pitch is a long one – 160 feet on steep ice.
Aubrey working the new ice on the final corner on Dracula right.
Dracula left offered very steep climbing near the top out. Aubrey working up over the bulge.
The route is continuous all the way Aubrey focused on the final moves.
A great day on the ice. Thanks Aubrey.
