Mammut gear keeps me light on Cannon

Marc came up to climb the Whitney Gilman today. You see it’s Marc birthday tommorrow and he wanted to spend a day on Cannon to celebrate. With showers in the forecast we went out today in sunshine and a cool breeze. After talking with Marc I realized he had been on the WG a few times. I suggested Moby Grape as another quality route. We spent a great day on Moby using some new Mammut items. I am always trying to lighten my load and Mammut gear is right for the job.

Marc climbing the fine cracks as he approaches the triangle roof pitch.
My new Mammut belay device “The Vader Alpine”. The device worked great, it’s light, self locking – and easy to pull the ultra light Mammut Twilight twin ropes through.
Marc high on the route climbing into the last belay anchor below Kurt’s Corner. Kurt’s Corner is a must do variation finish for the route. The corner is a clean and solid Yosemite like corner high on Cannon.
The rack, Mammut 10mm Dyneema slings, Mammut Twilight Twin Ropes, Mammut Tripod Helmet, Mammut Flight 28 Pack, and my new harness the Mammut Togir Light an all around alpine harness. All this gear is super light a big help on a long route such as Moby Grape.
Thanks to Marc and Mammut.
